Youth ministry has been a long-standing priority at Westminster. A rich Christian education for our teens and young adults helps boost self-esteem, encourages social responsibility, and teaches essential life skills.

The heart of our youth program is serving and learning through engagement with diverse communities, near and far.

Both the Mid-High Youth (middle school ages) and the High School Youth meet weekly during the school year to socialize, participate in church projects, study the Bible and perform outreach in the community. Our youth group also participates in youth activities twice a month as a member of the Salem Youth Collective.

Once a year, the Mid-High Youth engage in the Salem community during the popular CITY CAMP, a week-long sleepover/volunteer effort in our South Salem neighborhood.

The High School Youth travel annually for mission trips. They partner with organizations in cities around the world to assist social service agencies, hurricane and flood relief efforts, and learn from those they are serving.

Youth Group represents one of our core values and is strongly supported by the church. Our mission statement sums it up: “We exist to empower youth to love God, each other, themselves, and the world.”
