ACTIVITIES AND GROUPS

A number of small groups exist for study and fellowship for members of the congregation.

CIRCLES

Charity Circle meets on the fourth Tuesday of each month September through May at 1:30 in members’ homes.

Faith-Friendship Circle meets at 1:30pm on the second Tuesday of each month October through May at Westminster. They meet to join in fellowship, worship, and friendship.  The members also accept certain responsibilities for their support, specifically, the Mid-Valley women’s Crisis Center and occasionally, other church and community needs.

Tea with Jesus meets at 9:30 am the first and third Thursday of the month at the church.  Tea with Jesus is a women’s bible study for Westminster women and their friends.  Tea and cookies are served.  We share our understandings of the Bible.  The resources are Bible Study books or current books that pertain to the bible or its history.  We would welcome anyone interested in joining us.

CLIPPERS

 Clipper Groups include both single and married people in the congregation. Clipper groups gather both at the homes of members and the church for fellowship, study and mutual support. There are several Clipper Groups which meet at various times and places, they include:

SOS - Both adult-oriented and family-oriented activities.  Made up mostly of families with young children and teenage children. Meets at various times through the year. Skippers Ken and Karen Smith.

Intrepid - Meets the first Monday of the month at either the church or a member’s home.  They plan a variety of activities. Skippers Harold Daron.

Voyager - Meets the third Monday evening of each month in members’ homes.  Meetings include devotions and a group activity. Skippers Ralph and Sara Morgan.

Westminster - Meets at the Boys & Girls Club for an activity and then goes to a member’s home for dessert. Skippers Tom & Sheila Lichy.

Bounty II - Meets the third Tuesday of the month at 7:30pm in members’ homes, or occasionally at the church from 2:00-4:00pm.  They meet for fellowship, a devotional presentation and sometimes a special interest presentation. Skipper Linda Trigg.

Castaways - Meet every other month in members’ homes. Skippers Roger & Janet Budke.

Galley Clipper - The initial cargo is helping Food Share/Table of Plenty every 2^nd Thursday of the month.  Skipper Jim Buker.

Dawn Treader Clipper - The initial cargo is performing random acts of kindness.  This clipper meets every 2^nd Saturday of the month. Skipper Mark Lawrence.
